Dear Gurus
I have a scenario and battling with an understanding on how sap behaves rather unusally.
We have a Std price (Re 1) at material master level which is maintained at the time of Material master creation, however not costed and released.
This price is used in SO and flows to the PO level. However at the time of PO, the price is manually set to Rs. 200. At the time of MIGO, it generated price difference and therefore the cost accountant came to know the STd price is wrong and has to be changed to Rs. 200.
However having done that, all subsequent MIGO documents are valued at old standard price of Re. 1 and not with current Std price of Rs. 200.
As I understand that if Std. Price is released, all subsequent good movements are done at the new set Standard price, this situation quite contradicts it.
We are dealing with Sales order stock scenario, so maybe I am missing on certain concepts.
Following are other things we tried:
1) created PO line item without reference to sales order (Account Assignment - M) and it took Rs. 200.
2) created seperate SO line item and therefore through it created a seperate PO line item and it took Rs. 200
3) Tried to do manual pricing of VPRS condition type. Though it took Rs. 200 as new Condition value, subsequent PO line item created, didnt take Rs. 200 and it still carries Re. 1 as stock valuation.
Whenever we try to create to modify existing rate at PO level, it comes up with Message 06207
Effective Price is 200.00 INR, Material Price is 1.00 INR
I want to understand where its picking up 1.00 INR (Sales order, maybe). I believe it should pick up latest standard price at Material master level.
Appreciate your urgent response in this regard
